About us
We are a friendly group of people who like to get together and do all kinds of fun activities, mostly in Marin but also in San Francisco, the East Bay and other parts of the Bay Area. If you are fun, like meeting new people and want to participate, you'll fit right in. We are singles and couples of all ages. We will be planning happy hours, game nights, movies, dining out, potlucks, house parties, dancing, night life, music, cooking, hikes, plays, festivals and many other activities. We look forward to meeting you.

House Concert featuring Dawn & Hawkes
My living room, 345 Hickory Lane, San Rafael, CA, USI'm thrilled to welcome back Dawn & Hawkes for their fourth performance in my house concert series (prior shows were in 2016, 2017 & 2022). Every show over the years was at capacity, and I expect nothing less this time around!
Miranda Dawn and Chris Hawkes first met when he crossed an Austin barroom floor and asked her to dance. The first time they sang together they found a sound Texas Monthly calls “undeniably intimate." Their initial duo effort, Golden Heart, climbed to No. 25 in Billboard’s Folk chart and landed at No. 2 in iTunes singer-songwriter albums and kicked off a whirlwind of cross-country touring and co-writing.
Their third album, Light Inside, was primarily recorded live – in one day – at Arlyn Studios, in Austin, TX. The songs on Light Inside, illuminated by the warm glow of family homes, old guitars, familiar stories, new infatuation and loyal, long-standing love, are captured with the sincerity of their live show.
In a time when the world seems more divided than ever, Dawn and Hawkes celebrate hope and our common humanity with an invitation to embrace the light that comes from all of us.
Donations are $25 per person in cash at the door, or please Venmo the artist directly @DawnAndHawkes. All donations go directly to the artists.
As is custom with house concerts, please bring a beverage, appetizer or dessert to share. But please, NO RED WINE to save my carpet from that after-show blush!4 attendees
