Next Meetup

Master director Steven Soderbergh's contribution to the 'trapped in a mental hospital' genre: a disturbing thriller raising questions about our perception of reality, our survival instinct and the system that is supposed to take care of us. I will be at the cinema entrance (near or on the comfy chairs) around 3.30 p.m.; will post more ID info on the day. Please book your own tickets - they are numbered for Cineworld so go where you like and we will meet in foyer briefly afterwards before going to local pub for a drink.

What we're about

Public Group

Join to meet people and see movies!

It's really pretty basic; the organiser and assistant organisers pick films, we meet beforehand and generally go for a drink after. It's a relaxed group which people dip in and out of depending on their film genre preference etc, so there are always new people at each meet.

We're not film snobs in this group- we see both thoughtful, foreign language films at indie cinemas and 'leave your brain at home' Hollywood blockbusters at multiplexes. Personally it depends on my mood. So if you like films, come along, watch a film and discuss it over a drink.

Please read the FAQ ( if you have any questions about the group, the organisers, emails and so on.
