What weβre about
π HELLO AND WELCOME TO MOVIE ROADHOUSE LONDON THE LARGEST MOVIE CLUB IN LONDON MADE BY MOVIE FANS FOR MOVIE FANS.
In a nutshell, we are just a bunch of Film Buffs, Filmmakers and Creators who like to go out for drinks and watch movies. We also rate and review the films after we watch them and the results are posted on our **Letterboxd **Page.
We are also avid supporters of Independent Cinema, The Film Festival Guild, Medicinema and establishments like Prince Charles Cinema and the British Film Institute to mention a few. Thanks to this we sometimes gain special access and discounts to special events that we can then share with you. Plus we meet up regularly for a social to catch up again at the BFI which is a lot of fun.
We try to stay well informed when it comes to film news, New Releases and Re-Releases and members are also able to vote for what films they want to see through our WhatsApp Group (at request), WhatsApp Channel, Telegram Group (at request) and Telegram Channel.
Whatever the time of year we do our best to always be around, come and join us for a good time.

π° DECADES OF ENVISIONING MADNESS
As we enter Francis Ford Coppolaβs personal madcap, it is a future ruled by cities concerned with the power of ethics and life itself. A dystopian future if you will where New York is a metaphor for The Roman Empire. What's going on guys π We may want to approach this film with weirdness in mind because this movie has a reputation of being a mixed bag. I have yet to see this film, and as I understand some people didn't appreciate its weirdness, yet some others really did. So in the interest of enjoying the weird and crazy, that's how I will get through. This dream project of Francis Ford Coppola took around 40 years to make mainly because no studio wanted to make it as it was considered too risky and crazy which is ironic because look around us. Anyway he believed in this project so much that he used $120 million of his own winery money. So you see, in spite of directing legacy films like The Godfather, Apocalypse Now and Bram Stoker's Dracula, it's seems that even legendary directors have to jump through hoops.
I heard that this film is like marmite but that is how some great classics begin and that is how I like my toast with grilled cheese which is also weird. Check out the schedule breakdown below:
- 7:00 PM: Drinks at the Victory House French Bistrot & Wine Bar next to the Cinema. You will find me with a meetup sign..
- 8:30 PM: Then it's up stairs to Screen 2 at Prince Charles Cinema. I have selected seat A6
- 11:10 PM: We reconvene briefly to Review & Score the Film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Don't forget our WhatsApp Group & Telegram Group are available on request. Or alternatively you can join non chat WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel.

π€ PREPARING TO LAUNCH A NEW SPACE RACE
According to this quirky group in space suits, is when you change the world, you have to prepare to defend it. And Beyond darkness and beyond fear, lies the fantastic. But are they though? What's up guys π And welcome to Phase 6 and the first movie to introduce The Fantastic 4 marking the beginning of a new chapter in the brand new Marvel Cinematic Universe Multiverse β¦Again!. While it's too early to definitively say if this will be good, the Trailer hints a film that balances heroism with some good dynamics. Also the casting of Pedro Pascal is always a positive for me. And all though not everything that comes from Marvel is great, I have to say I really did enjoy the latest Thunderbolts. Speaking of which according to several theories there is a strong possibility that this new movie will be connected to Thunderbolts. You may have noticed an Easter egg in Thunderbolts post-credits scene. Another positive is that this will be directed by Matt Shakman who produced and directed WandaVision and has directed many episodes in successful series like Fargo and Game of Thrones.
So Anyway, I will leave you with this to remember: What is Mister Fantastic's favourite drink? Fruit punch! And What did the Invisible woman say to Spider Man? Don't bug me. Now check out the schedule for this afternoon:
- 3:00 PM: We will meet at the Cineworld Empire Confectionary Bar (far end side). There will be quite a few of us, so I apologise in advance if there is limited seating. Look out for The Meet-Up Sign.
- 3:50 PM: Then we're off to IMAX Screen 8. We have chosen seats H43- H44.
- 6:30PM: We reconvene again to Review & Score the Film then we'll head off for drinks at All Bar One, where we will have a table reserved. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Also don't forget that our WhatsApp Group & Telegram Group are available on request. Or alternatively you can also join our WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel.

πΆ FANTASIA ON THE THEME OF MOZART
Be silent, if you choose, but when it is necessary, speak and speak in such a way that people will remember it. These lines will probably make more sense to you after you've seen this masterful cinematic pieceHey guys π This movie is probably one of the best stage to screen adaptations that I've seen made for a famous composer. It was directed by MiloΕ‘ Forman and written by Peter Shaffer who described this as a loose biographical drama told through Mozartβs music. The film explores the complex relationship between Mozart and Salieri a respected court composer that harbours jealousy and resentment towards Mozart's seemingly effortless talent coupled with his hedonistic lifestyle. This is one of those gems, where I would actually say I will recommend it as one to see before you die.
The life of Mozart was very interesting but what made the film so good was that the film took the perspective of someone who loved Mozart's work but hated him at the same time. It is definitely a treat for even you aren't too fond of classical music. Check out the schedule breakdown below:
- 4:30 PM: We will meet for drinks at The BFI Cafe Bar (Not Riverfront). This will be by the main Box Office and Lightbox entrance. Look out for the sign.
- 5:45 PM: Then we're off to NFT1. I have chosen seat J9 but feel free to choose your preferred location.
- 9:10 PM We briefly reconvene at the bar to score the film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Don't forget that you can join our WhatsApp Group or Telegram Group, which are available on request. Or alternatively you can join non chat WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel for updates only.

ποΈ AND IN AN EFFORT TO SUPPORT PRINCE CHARLES CINEMA
This week we are going back in time to the acclaimed and regarded as one of the greatest films ever made. Speaking of time before it runs out you may want to sign the Save The Prince Charles Cinema Petition.Hi guys π I've been meaning to take time to watch this film on the big screen and in case you missed it, you might want to come along and see this 1962 Historical Epic that still stands the test of time. It was directed by David Lean and it tells the story of Thomas Edward Lawrence's experiences during World War I leading Arab tribes against the Ottoman Empire. It is known for its stunning cinematography, epic scope, and complex character study which are based on actual events.
It is best to come and see this for yourself instead of me telling you all about it. You will also be supporting a good course to save our beloved Cinema :
- 6:00 PM: Meet me downstairs at the Prince Charles Cinema Bar and I will be there with a sign.
- 6:30 PM: We move to Screen 1 where I have selected seat Q11. There will be an intermission in between the film we can catch up at the bar for drinks.
- 10:40 PM: We briefly reconvene where we will Review & Score the Film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
- Our WhatsApp Group & Telegram Group are available on request. Alternatively you can join non invasive WhatsApp Channel or Telegram Channel.
