Hey guys 👋 This movie is probably one of the best stage to screen adaptations that I've seen made for a famous composer. It was directed by Miloš Forman and written by Peter Shaffer who described this as a loose biographical drama told through Mozart’s music. The film explores the complex relationship between Mozart and Salieri a respected court composer that harbours jealousy and resentment towards Mozart's seemingly effortless talent coupled with his hedonistic lifestyle. This is one of those gems, where I would actually say I will recommend it as one to see before you die.

The life of Mozart was very interesting but what made the film so good was that the film took the perspective of someone who loved Mozart's work but hated him at the same time. It is definitely a treat for even you aren't too fond of classical music. Check out the schedule breakdown below:

4:30 PM: We will meet for drinks at The BFI Cafe Bar (Not Riverfront). This will be by the main Box Office and Lightbox entrance. Look out for the sign.
5:45 PM: Then we're off to NFT1. I have chosen seat J9 but feel free to choose your preferred location.
9:10 PM We briefly reconvene at the bar to score the film. The results will be posted on Letterboxd.
