👋 Hey everyone!
Is DC worried about Marvel — or is Marvel worried about how hard DC is hitting back? One thing’s for sure: 2026 is shaping up to be the year of superhero rivalry. After the success of James Gunn’s Superman, of course DC was going to swing big again — and now Supergirl is ready to soar.

This one will be directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, and it’s the second film in the brand-new DCU. The premise? Kara Zor-El celebrates her 21st birthday by traveling across the galaxy — until a tragedy sends her on a “murderous quest for revenge.” So yes, expect some mythology shake-ups and a bold new direction for the character. The multi-million dollar question: should we be worried? Honestly, it just makes things more exciting.

Looking back, a film featuring Supergirl in the DC Extended Universe has been highly anticipated for years, and it should be great fun watching it on IMAX. We’ll have a meet-and-greet before the movie, and the social will follow right after — perfect for a Saturday. And don’t forget we'll add our Letterboxd Reviews afterward to keep the conversation going!
