👋 Hi everyone! Let’s check out this highly critically acclaimed A24 biographical comedy by director Matt Johnson.

The movie stars Dominic Sessa as a 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain alongside legend Antonio Banderas as his kitchen mentor in this chaotic, sun-drenched Provincetown coming-of-age story.

I’m particularly curious about this one because it seems to be avoiding the usual cradle to grave biopic approach and instead focusing on one formative period of his life. Hopefully that gives us something a little more interesting to talk about afterwards.

The Meetup: We’ll meet at the Curzon Bloomsbury bar for drinks from 4:00 pm for drinks and a chat before heading into the 4:45 pm screening. I’ll be in seat D14 if you want to book nearby. We will then discuss and review the film for our Letterboxd page.
