What we're about

We host events around Atlanta for pirates, wenches and those you enjoy all things piratical. Some events are family friendly and others involve alcohol and are 21+. A few events require full pirate garb and will be duly noted in the event description. We also hope to keep local pirates and wenches up to date on various piratical events throughout the Southeast.

Pirate Day at Fernbank Museum

Fernbank Museum

The Staff of Fernbank Museum have invited the members of the Guild back for their Pirate Day (It used to be Pirate and Princess Day but we overwhelmed the princesses). The crew will be able to enjoy the Museum again at no cost (as long as ye' be wearin' yer garb, mateys!). This is one of our full pirate garb mandatory events and is a "working" event - we be getting free admission in exchange for interacting with their visitors. That said, ye' MUST RSVP Friday morning (January 20th) so Agave can provide Fernbank a list of crew members. If ye don't RSVP, there be no guarantee that ye will get free admission. We have been asked to leave our flasks at home (this is one of those kid friendly events) as well as secure all weapons (sheathed and piece tied please) as we mingle with the locals from 10:00 to 1:00. Also with this bein' a family friendly event, modest garb is required. The Museum is open until 5:00 so ye can stay later than 1:00. There be a restaurant at Fernbank as well as picnic tables so ye can bring yer own grub if ye don't want to wait to sail to a pub after the event. Fernbank will also provide a room with water and soft drinks fer the crew to stay hydrated and a place to stow yer cloaks and bags.

We will have a pub event to go to afterwards!

Heart of Davy Jones

One of our favorite ports wants to celebrate the Heart of Davy Jones with the crew! Don your festive garb and come celebrate with your crew mates. The food is delicious and the drink is plentiful.

The 19th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Festival

South Beach Parking Lot

Swashbucklers of all ages will be converging on Tybee Island to participate in the 19th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Festival! Thar be a Pirate Parade, Live Entertainment, Costume Contests, Children’s Activities and the Thieves Market filled with treasures, grog and grub!

The event begins with the Swashbuckler's Bash on Thursday night at 7:00 pm (check online for pricing and tickets). The Pirate Festival opens on Friday at 5:00 pm and runs through Sunday morning. For details, please check http://www.tybeepiratefest.com or their Facebook page.

The Tybee Island Pirate Festival began in 2005 with a small handful of individuals that were looking for a unique event to help boost visitation to the island in the off-season months. The first year was even more successful than the organizers, a non-profit called TybeeFest, even imagined it could be. With the support of many dedicated volunteers, The City of Tybee Island and its elected officials, the Tybee Tourism Council, and local businesses the event has grown in popularity each year.
