FROM CINDY: I was so glad when Karla informed me of this event as I wanted to schedule this film for the group and the timing just didn't work out while it was in regular theaters. Starring the wonderful Steve Coogan and based on a true story, I'm so glad we can see it this way, while benefiting a worthy organization!
FROM KARLA: Join us in seeing "The Penguin Lessons" sponsored by the Film Society of Summit at the Madison Community Arts Center 10 Kings Road, Madison, NJ on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. After the show we will walk to a restaurant in town for dinner.
DISCUSSION: We will walk over to the Bottle Hill Tavern (13 Waverly Place, Madison, NJ) after the movie. It's a 3 minute walk. Karla made a 6:15 reservation.

SYNOPSIS: Inspired by the true story of a disillusioned Englishman who went to work in a school in Argentina in 1976. Expecting an easy ride, Tom discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.
