China Camp Loop Hike

This hike explores the varying topography of China Camp State Park. We'll start on the Ridge Fire Trail. This is the more arid part of the hike: manzanitas, madrone, oaks all inhabit this area. A redwood grove is just before we get to our highest point; the Nike Missile Site-a good vista point for Mt. Tam and the San Pablo Bay. Our route back will be on the lush and shady Bay Trail; bay, fir, and ferns abound.
