Health Hackathon in Brisbane in early August.

From: Chris M.
Sent on: Friday, July 10, 2015, 8:27 AM

Hi all,

Coming up in early August, there is a great opportunity for some rapid fire health solution creation.

A health hackathon is being run as an integrated part of Australia's premier annual eHealth Informatics conference - this year it is in Brisbane at the Convention Centre.

It will be run by experienced Canadian hackhealth organisers - good problems, good data, good organisation, good contacts.

3-5th August,  $50 or $10 for students.

Mentors needed as well.

Check out and register http://conta.cc/1CUSWWO

HISA, in partnership with Hacking Health Canada, will be hosting this national three-day innovation event during HIC 2015 in Brisbane 3-5 August.

Hacking Health is designed to bring clinicians, health and community care experts, designers, developers, engineers, consumers and mentors together to collaborate and co-create solutions and digital health prototypes to pressing healthcare challenges.

Have a challenge/project you want Hacking Health to address? You are invited to pitch your project and lead a team! Projects being proposed to date include:

• Falls prevention

• Blood pressure self-monitoring

• Asthma self-management

• Language translation app for migrants

• Consumer decision support and access to services

• Genetics testing avatar

• Superbug analytics modelling

Register now to pitch a project, join and participate in a team or be a mentor. If you aren't already registered for the conference it costs $50 (students $10) to take part in Hacking Health.

Be part of the action Hacking Health @HIC will expose participants to the largest gathering of digital health experts in Australia with clinicians bringing real healthcare problems needing innovative approaches to address them. By bringing the community together in this innovative format we aim to provide a forum for participants to work together to address significant healthcare problems and to foster personal relationships and networks that will lead to ongoing collaborations outside of these 3 days.

Cheers,
