What we’re about

This group is for everyone who enjoys the pleasure of finding things out. Science, the search for knowledge in the light of evidence and reason, knows no boundaries. Thus, our topics range from mathematics, physics and biology to psychology, economics and history. No prior knowledge is assumed, but be prepared for challenging arguments and facts.

For example, if you are curious about the nature of matter and the causes of motion, watch Newton's thought experiment with a cannonball at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALRdYPMpqQs and Feynman's explanation of atomic theory at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsdCzujHqAk

If you are curious about the nature and causes of the wealth of human societies, watch a video about one of the most common economic fallacies at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hrg1CArkuNc and another one about the complexity of the world economy at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYO3tOqDISE.

On the philosophy and psychology of science, watch the videos "Why Science Works" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhugP5Hjj6c and "Living with Doubt" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czcv4b6rKgk.
