White Elephant Book Swap!

Get ready for a fun twist on a classic book swap: White elephant gift exchange meets blind-date-with-a-book! This book swap is a great opportunity to try out a different genre, discover something new, and share your love of reading with other Nerdy 30s ladies.

Here's how it works: Everyone brings one gently used (or new) book, wrapped so that the title is a mystery. Write at least the genre on the wrapping paper, and feel free to add a short written blurb or doodle that gives a clue to what the book might be about. When we've gathered in the meeting room at Prodigy Coffeehouse, we'll draw numbers and take turns choosing to either unwrap a book, or steal one that's already been opened, like a classic white elephant exchange. You never know what book you'll end up with! I'll bring a few extra books in case you end up with a book that you have already read. When we're finished with the swap, you're welcome to stay and start reading your new book!

To sum up:

1. Bring a wrapped book to swap.
2. Grab a delicious drink and/or snack (Prodigy does not permit outside food or drink).
3. Spend some time socializing.
4. Swap time!
5. Stay to dig into your new book, or bring it home to start reading later.
