This training is required for using the laser cutter. Please take a look at our manual beforehand: https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Laser_Manual
We will be going over how to be safe while using the laser cutter, with a demonstration of cutting in cardboard. Then, each student will have a practical test where they cut the Noisebridge logo in cardboard themselves. Each class is limited to 5 students. Safety training run by Ruth happens every other Thursday, but you can go in the space any time and see if any of the other laser trainers are willing to train you at a different time.
The laser training is pay-what-you-can, with a recommended donation of $20. We still have some outstanding costs from shipping the laser cutter and preparing the space (ventilation, power, etc), and appreciate any funding we can get! https://donate.noisebridge.net/projects/laser
