# Nanite NeRFing: WebGL/GPU Workshop | Web Games & Graphics + Metaverse, Neuralink AR/VR XR

## Anarchy. Graphics. Revolution.
Nanite is Epic's Unreal Engine 5's triangle-per-pixel detailing engine that finds shared geometric seams across different resolutions of a 3D mesh, allowing zoom quality to be automatically streamed live without artifacts popping during transition.
Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) are a ML approach for creating 3D scenes from photos by "mixing" (interpolation) viewing angles based on depth constraints constructed from combining photos. They can run in realtime on phones.
## The problem is,
Neither of these systems are Open Source, or a web standard.
The Open Defense Fund wants to change that. We're embarking on a 7 year journey to create an open & secure neural graphics engine for the web. It's the Mozilla Firefox to Internet Explorer 6 in 2004.
And what better place to celebrate that, than at Noisebridge? Join cypherpunks & CCC attendees, as we have an interactive & conversational workshop on learning graphics primitives (WebGL) and hacking out the math for keeping the metaverse privacy-centric without corporate surveillance.
Our volunteers will be donating time to learn & teach at the event. We strongly believe in Build in Public. If you have experience with WebGPU, please volunteer.
We're creating a community for the future, a write-once deploy-everywhere graphics engine: Web, Mobile, Desktop, Console, VR/AR/XR, Neuralink/Openwater.
Cognition determines how we perceive the world from the signals flooding our brain's filter. Exploiting how this works, gives us faster, cheaper yet more realistic graphics.
Beginners welcome, we will have resources for you to follow if you are learning code for the first time - come join! However, the workshop will assume moderate programming experience, though 0 webgl knowledge is needed. We ask that you watch this 20 minute starter tutorial before attending.
