Learn the basics of quilting in this hands-on workshop. We will collaboratively make a baby blanket from start to finish over the course of three hours, learning various techniques for cutting, piecing, sewing, basting, quilting, and binding along the way. You will walk away with an understanding of how quilts are put together and the skills to get started on your own small quilting projects.

No sewing experience is necessary, although there will be chances to use the domestic machines as well as hand sewing, so more experienced sewers are welcome. We will provide all the materials needed.

Please donate to help us run the space if you can, but no one is turned away from lack of funds. We suggest a sliding scale donation of $10-30 going towards the maintenance of and new equipment for the space. Payable to our cash box, or by Venmo, Paypal, or Credit Card. See Donate to Noisebridge for more information.

The class may have a waiting list, so if you are unable to make it please cancel so that someone else can come to the class. Please cancel even if it is last minute.

In addition to this workshop, sewing workshops happen every Monday at Noisebridge, including machine knitting, embroidery, and special projects. Feel free to request a topic or project.
