"Build the Contemplarium" Workshop @ Noisebridge
Details
The SF Contemplarium is envisioning creating secular sacred space in San Francisco to honor our human journey, through hosting programming and through building physical spaces and structures. (Read more about the vision in this short manifesto and the longer vision.)
Join us at this workshop to learn more about the vision and brainstorm possibilities!
This session will be hosted at Noisebridge, an inspiring maker space brimming with curiosity and play. We're excited to get the creative juices flowing as we imagine, invent, and hack something totally new.
Instructions to get into Noisebridge:
Press the button on the wall near the red payphone to ring the doorbell.
At this session we will:
- Share and discuss the vision for the Contemplarium as infrastructure for honoring our human journey here in SF
- Hear from each other what directions might excite us most, and where our energies are pointing
- Brainstorm and explore — ideas for programming and physical stuff
- e.g. maybe build cooler 2.0 versions of the Reflection Stands that we've been prototyping?
- Come up with next steps — do we want build something?
Pre-reading for context:
- Short manifesto: A San Francisco That Honors
- Longer vision: A People Who Honor
