ABOUT THE EVENT

Come make a game with us in a short amount of time! For those not "in the know", a game jam is a hackathon, where participants are tasked with making a game! It can be a videogame or really ANY kind of game!

At 6PM on Sunday the 19th, AND on Friday the 24th (see separate meetup event, for those who can only jam during the weekend), we will show the theme announcement video. There will be a short team forming session afterwards. Bring whatever skills you have, whether that is coding, art, game design, audio, writing, or whatever else! I will bring food and beverages each time - Please RSVP so I can get a head count for that and message me with any dietary restrictions!

9PM Sunday is usually cinema night at Noisebridge - We will do a special screening of Indie Game: The Movie for the game jam. Until then, and during, we can do some prototyping and brainstorming around the space!

After you RSVP here, please also register on the global game jam website to participate in the event! https://globalgamejam.org/jam-sites/2025/noisebridge

The Jam ENDS on Sunday the 26th at 6pm PST. At which time we will re-convene and present our game creations to the whole group!

ABOUT NOISEBRIDGE

Noisebridge is open when dues-paying members are present - hours vary but it is open typically everyday from mid-morning until late at night. Drinks and snacks are available on site, on a donation basis. Power and WiFi available on site, and lots of workspace. Tools for physical game creators are available - some require training - please consult a dues-paying Noisebridge member for details.

There are plenty of tools and resources for hardware and physical games creation. The woodshop is CLOSED! HOWEVER, there is a large laser cutter (you MUST be trained to use it or work with someone who is), CNC mill, 3D Printers, regular paper printers, Electronics Workstations w/ prototyping & soldering equipment, microcontrollers, etc!

ONLINE PARTICIPATION

If you'd like to participate online, please join us in the general voice channel on Sunday evening in the BAD Collective Discord server! We will stream the theme reveal video there as well and offer a chance to participate in team-forming remotely!
