## Session 2: From Breadboard to Prototype
In Session 1 we breadboarded a common emitter amplifier and learned how it works. Now let's make it permanent!
In this session we'll move from the breadboard to perf board and Vero board — the prototyping tools of choice for DIY pedal builders. These are fast, flexible, and a great step between breadboarding and a full PCB.
We'll pick a project and build it. All of these are built around the common emitter amplifier circuit:
- LPB-1 — the Linear Power Booster, a dead-simple common emitter boost
- Range Master — the treble booster that defined a sound
- Bazz Fuss — one transistor, one diode, pure fuzz chaos
- Electra Fuzz — a tiny clip-in fuzz with a cult following
Come with a soldering iron if you have one. We'll have some to share. All projects are beginner-friendly and use through-hole components.
Already working on a pedal project of your own? Bring it! Whether you're mid-build on a Big Muff, debugging a fuzz, or just have questions, you're welcome to pull up a chair and work alongside us.
Session 1 is helpful background but not required — feel free to jump in here!
