Noisebridge Python Class: Programmable LEDs with Python! (PyCon Preview!)
Details
Have you ever wanted to program a LED strip, but you didn't know how? I'll teach you
Recent changes to the LED hardware market mean that now you can control LEDs with a raspberry pi instead of a dedicated microcontroller. That means we can write in python to do it.
I've already built a LED display in my room with 350 individually addressable rainbow LEDs, and I'll tell you all about it. After you hear this talk, you'll know enough about LEDs to be able to build your own LED installation, and animate it with python!
