Come enjoy a free one-hour outdoor group mobility workout with GMB Trainer Steve Goldshein!
Learn how to move in fun, energizing ways that develop your fitness from three angles: Strength, Flexibility, and Control. These pillars of athleticism are essential for not only experienced athletes, but for everyone!
Whether you're a martial artist, triathlete, weightlifter, or yogi, you need to develop your ability to prevent and recover from injury so you can train safely. If you're not an athlete and you just want to move through your daily life without pain, soreness, stiffness, or worrying about an unexpected fall or injury, this style of training is enormously helpful.
Meet with me each week at North Hollywood Park, near Magnolia Blvd and Tujunga Ave, for an hour of equipment-free training for adults of all ages, fitness levels, and athletic backgrounds!
Note: These moves involve a lot of work with hands on the ground, so you may want to wear gloves or bring a blanket, if you want to avoid touching the ground.
Agenda:
10:00 AM -- Prepare
A full-body warmup where we check in with our muscles and joints to identify any tightness, fatigue, soreness, or other issues. Preparing our body and mind for the training ahead. Active recovery from all the week's endeavors.
10:25 AM -- Practice
Learning new skills and developing our abilities through basic movement patterns.
10:40 AM -- Play
Exploring variations and combinations of our movement skills, having fun with what we can do, and training our brains to be curious and creative with movement.
10:50 AM -- Push
Dial up the intensity for conditioning and reinforcing the fundamentals, then cooling down with stretches and relaxing mobility drills.
11:00 AM -- Ponder
Q&A with Steve. Consider your favorite exercise, the most challenging exercise today, and what went well during the session for you. Think about what you want to work on next time and what you'll do during the week ahead to further your goals.
