​In celebration of Valentines Day week, we are holding an event for Singles to Mingle, as well as for couples for a Date Night Out to do something new and different together.
​Have Fun Make Friends or Meet a Match / Learn Tips and Strategies to Improve your game.
​Win Prizes! / Be crowned the Backgammon King/Queen
​Come at any time leave at any time (but you have more chances to win prizes if you get there early and stay until the end)
​Details:
$15 entry fee (thru Luma link) each individual single person (Add $5 fee for loaner board)
​$20 entry fee(thru Luma link) for each couple (add $5 fee for loaner board)
**Food is SEPARATE and NOT INCLUDED

• ​​Random Prizes and other prizes for top player(s) with each win / most wins.
• ​​Possible venue gift card prize (if enough people RSVP. So tell your friends about the event!!)
• ​​1 point single casual games. No Clocks. No Cube used.
• ​​1 point earned (and extra raffle chance) for every game won. The more points you earn the higher you go on the leader board and a chance for the grand prize.

​​Schedule:
5:00 - 5:30pm - Early check-in and eat/drink and socialize. But you can arrive at any time though. We'd love to meet you and show you this fun and amazing game with highs and lows. Anyone can beat anyone in this game.
5:30 - 6:30 - Match up with first opponents, eat & Drink and/or Learn how to play. Lessons by an expert player or the club President.
6pm - 8:45pm - All players play. Rotate opponent after each game (if possible)
8:45 - 9:15pm - Raffle / Door Prizes / Event Ends
9:15 - 9:30pm - Clean-up / Break down
9:30 pm - Venue closes

*** BRING YOUR OWN BACKGAMMON BOARD ***

If you don't have your own board, try and borrow one but if not we can loan you one ($5 non-refundable usage fee). There is a ticket option to reserve a loaner board. VERY LIMITED loaners available. Or you can play with someone else who has their own board. We can also direct you to find great boards at reasonable prices. Once you start with backgammon you will LOVE it and want to play all the time.

Have Fun / Make Friends / Competitive Backgammon with great players

All levels welcome but recommended for Intermediate and higher level players.
We use the Doubling Cube and Matches are to 5 points so if you don't know what that means or if you are a beginner, check out our casual/social events for now.
You are welcome to come and watch and say hi to us as well as eat/drink and talk if you are not in the tournament but please be respectful while our tournament players are focusing on winning their competitive matches.

NOTE: this Meetup is NOT your ticket. You MUST be an existing club member and pay to enter our tournament. Email us for an invoice before or bring cash at the door.

Details:
$15 entry fee (cash at the door or by credit card using Stripe invoice in email) if playing in the tournament. FREE for visitors.
Food is NOT included. That is a separate bill for you to pay to the restaurant if you order anything.

• Prizes for top 3 finishers and also Club Master Points awarded for every player for the club's yearly leader board challenge.
• 5 point matches. 50 mins max per match.
• Format - Either Swiss Format. 3 rounds (with 1 point for match winner. Tie Breaker is match score difference) / OR Double Elimination (5 pts / 3 pts brackets)

Schedule:
05:00 - 5:30pm - Check-in / Verify Payment / eat / drink
05:45 pm - Brackets finalized
05:45 am - 9:15 pm - Tournament Play Matches / Eat / Drink
9:15 - 9:25 pm - Tear-down / clean up
9:30 pm - Venue closes. MUST be out before 9:30 pm
