ABOUT THE TALK - ACCESSIBILITY FOR UX DESIGNERS
An introduction to Accessibility-focused inclusive design. Megan will discuss the landscape of ability and where our interfaces may be falling short for some of our users - and some areas that are ripe for innovation. Followed by some specific examples of common pain points and a list of tools and resources you can bring back to your projects.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER - MEGAN ZLOCK
Who said math and art can’t get along? Megan got a BFA in animation with a focus on 3D modeling and interactive media. A broad thinker, Megan has a drive to find the right solution balancing technological, visual, and business requirements.
After making her animation portfolio website, she liked coding so much that she never stopped. Now she’s known for her creative use of CMSes to build beautiful, usable, and accessible interfaces with just the right touches of animation and movement.

PARKING
There is a free parking deck behind the building that can be accessed off of S. Maple Ave, West Broad Street (Route 7), or South Washington Street (Route 29/Lee Hwy). Guests can park in any non-reserved spot. Please be mindful of the reserved restaurant parking during certain hours. There are some covered spots available as well.
METRO / PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The closest metro is East Falls Church on the Orange/Silver line. Viget is located 1 mile from the metro with sidewalks along the whole way. Bus lines 2A and 3A also run from the metro to Viget's office. Cabs and Ubers are also available from the metro.
The following bus routes stop right by Viget.
