Welcome, fans of Harry Potter!
We are New York City's Harry Potter Meetup group, known as the New York Order of the Phoenix.
If there are Potter-related things happening in NYC, we will be there! This goes for both the official franchise and fan-created works:
- New HP or Fantastic Beasts movies
- Harry Potter Exhibitions
- Harry Potter trivia
- Wizard rock concerts
- Performances from the Puffs team or Team StarKid
- Book releases and signings for books about HP
Aside from those events, we will meet monthly on the third Tuesday of each month: for HP book discussions, Potter-themed games, Potter-themed crafts, and more. We will be your geeky friends, who will get your references and eagerly debate the minutiae of the wizarding world!
And if you catch wind of something Pottery happening in the city, post about it here and there’s every chance it will become A Thing.

Wrock the Peacock is a special Malfoy-centric edition of a series of wizard rock concerts taking place in New York City, hosted by wizard dance troupe the Dancing Death Eaters. There will be music and accompanying dance routines all about the world of Harry Potter! Naturally, Draco and the Malfoys will headline the event. Get ready to listen to a lot of songs about that stupid Potter kid who gets way too much attention for his own good.
There will be further updates on the event's website; the following performers have already been announced for the concert:
- Dancing Death Eaters (led by NYOP organizer Irvin)
- Draco and the Malfoys
- Celestial Warmbottom
- Gringotts Girls
- Band in a Horcrux
- Priori Incantatem (aka NYOP organizer Julie)
Tickets are $20 and can be bought at the door (cash only - comment below to rsvp), or through Meetup (which tacks on a fee). You can also Venmo or Zelle us $20.
