# Welcome to Woman Re-Imagined
### A Community for Women 60+
Woman Re-Imagined is more than a Meetup group.
It is a community of women who believe that we are stronger when we journey through life together.
To foster meaningful relationships and maintain the intimate, supportive nature of our community, membership is limited to approximately 50 women.
Our mission is to cultivate a community where women feel seen, supported, connected, and valued. From that sense of belonging, meaningful friendships naturally grow.
I believe community is built intentionally. It grows through showing up, listening deeply, encouraging one another, sharing life's joys and struggles, and creating a space where every woman knows she matters.
Our values include:
• Authenticity
• Kindness and compassion
• Respect and inclusion
• Curiosity and lifelong learning
• Gratitude
• Mutual support without judgment
This community is for women who want to participate—not simply attend events.
It is for women who want to contribute to a culture of belonging, encourage one another, and invest in relationships that deepen over time.
If you are simply looking for activities to fill your calendar, this may not be the right group for you.
If, however, you are looking for a community where women genuinely care about one another and where lasting friendships can naturally develop, we would be delighted to welcome you.
Together we are creating something much greater than a social group.
Mission Statement: I am transferring this over from the original group at this time as I think it is important:
1. To provide a supportive and welcoming community for women over 60 to foster new friendships and meaningful connections in this season of our lives.
2. I believe in the importance of mindful socialization
3. This is a safe space for women to grow, support and share with each other in a nonjudgmental way with mutual respect. No exceptions here.
4. Maintain an attitude of gratitude.
5. This is an active group that will be engaging in activities to promote cognitive, emotional and psychological well being.
6. No one will be left behind in any event and members will be encouraged to voice who they are with respect and kindness. I am the organizer in this group and I will always check to make sure that we stay together on walks, hikes or any outdoor events. I want everyone to feel cared for and safe. We all come to this group with different abilities and gifts.
7. There is no room in this group or in meetups for "mean girls" this is not high school. In case I have to spell it out this means pettiness, argumentativeness, judgment, gossiping and engaging in triangulation against another member will not be tolerated in this group.
8. Be mindful of the space you take up when signing up for an event that has a cap on it for number of members who can attend. When you sign up and you cancel last minute that means that other person on the wait-list may not be able to attend on such late notice.
7. Please be on time for all events. this is extending courteousness to the community. When a member shows up late this interrupts the conversation and or prevents us from leaving on time for a hike or to catch a train.
Personal Message:
I am grateful for this community and all of the invaluable experiences that I have had over the past three and a half years. When I started this group in December of 2022 I had no idea what my journey would entail. I have learned so much and I look forward to continuing my growth. This is an amazing group of women and I am so blessed to be the organizer of this group.
Sincerely,
Dr. Linda
