About us

Math Seminar: Theorems and Wagers is a weekly in-person or online gathering for people who want to seriously explore mathematics, mathematical physics, and the ideas behind them.

We work through definitions, examples, intuition, theorem statements, proof ideas, and occasional full proofs. Topics may include topology, differential geometry, analysis, linear algebra, probability, quantum mechanics, relativity, and other areas where mathematics and physics meet.

Bring curiosity, patience, and a willingness to wrestle with abstraction. You can look at our past meetings here: https://app.notion.com/p/Philosophy-Meetings-2332a602b2fc804f9be6e50c13d7d3a8?source=copy_link The meetings are with our sister group: Philosophers and Gamblers.
