Onward & Upward: Boulder Urban Trail Hiking

FREE local urban sidewalk and trail walking, hiking, and adventures that embrace GOD's beauty through exploration and conversations connecting with your community.

Inspired by a dear friend, this group will explore most of Boulder County and a few more nearby cities (Boulder, Niwot, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Bloomfield). We will be using some walks/hikes in The Best Urban Hikes: Boulder as our guide for exploring the area.

In this group, you will experience building a closer relationship with others in our church family who celebrate GOD's creation and undying love for each one of us. You will also get to know local urban trail systems as we journey to connect with GOD, slowing down the pace of life to appreciate how we are connected to everything around us through HIM. Our group's name, Onward, and Upward suggests hikes up and through Boulder. In Philippians 3:14 Paul speaks "I press onward to the goal from the prize of the upward call of God in Jesus Christ".

How Often We Meet: Saturday afternoons (time and place will be posted). Check events to see if the route is right for you.

Who Should Join: We welcome anyone of any age, who is able to walk at least 2 mph and would enjoy spending time together on Sabbath Day.

Be Prepared: Changes in weather and variable conditions. Be self-sufficient, you are attending at your own risk.

Know What to Bring: water, snack, layers of clothing, wind protection, wear sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, hiking boots/walking shoes appropriate for the activity, and anything else you deem essential.
