This is a group for anyone interested in search engineering, open source search technology, and search relevancy in the Dubai area. If you’ve used or are interested in OpenSearch, you’re in the right place!
All skill levels are welcome. Even if search is just a small part of your day-to-day duties, come learn and connect with other smart engineers. We cover and welcome talks on topics including: search, AI, logging, log analytics, and data visualization.

Muslim Abu-Taha spent 11 years at AWS in technical roles including OpenSearch Specialist Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, and Big Data Support Engineer, working with customers on search, analytics, cloud architecture, cost optimisation, and large-scale production environments.With more than 17 years of experience in technology, his background spans Linux, networking, databases, big data, cloud infrastructure, and platform operations.
Today, Muslim is the founder and principal engineer of EraCloud, where he helps organisations design, optimise, and operate cloud, data, and search platforms.
Earlier in his career, he managed cloud infrastructure for companies including OpenSooq.com, d1g.com, and mumzworld.com, and contributed to open-source projects such as Arabian Linux and aws-es-proxy.
Muslim enjoys taking complex infrastructure and search topics and making them practical, understandable, and useful in real-world production environments.
