We are a community of professionals and enthusiasts interested in all things related to Java, Java frameworks (e.g. Spring, Quarkus, etc.), Java versions, Java news, ...everything Java!
Our meetups are designed to foster learning, collaboration, and networking among like-minded individuals. Whether you are a seasoned developer or just starting out, our group offers something for everyone. - Learn how Spring AI makes it easy for Java developers to leverage large language models without becoming ML experts.
- We'll cover the fundamentals of prompts, tokens, and model selection, plus hands-on examples of integrating AI capabilities into your Spring Boot applications.
## Format
- 6:30pm — Welcome & networking: Pizza, drinks and name tags will be provided—come hungry and ready to connect!
- 7:00pm — Get people into the auditorium.
- 7:05pm — Orlando JUG and ODevs opening remarks.
- 7:10pm — Spring Meets AI: A Java Developer's Guide to LLMs.
- 8:20pm — Q&A. Two attendees will each win an IntelliJ IDEA license!
## Speaker
- Richard Thibault is a seasoned full-stack developer and software architect who’s been building software for over 30 years. He loves working with Spring Boot to create elegant, high-performance business applications - and occasionally steps into the mobile world with iOS and Android projects. Rich is founder and president of Exquisite Loop, an Orlando-based software consulting firm. Outside of tech, Rich spends his time traveling, cooking, and jamming on guitar.

- 55 West Parking Garage: Located at 60 West Pine Street, it's a short walk to the Tech Hub.
- Flat Lot: Located on Pine Street, near the fire department, and at the corner of Garland and Central.
