## GenAI apps with LangChain4j and MCP
- This session, designed for software engineers, will explore how to create GenAI apps with LangChain4j and MCP (Model Context Protocol), facilitating standardized interactions with external tools. Through practical examples, we’ll demonstrate how to build enterprise-scale AI solutions that enhance modularity and scalability.
- Join us to learn how to harness LangChain4j and MCP to build powerful, AI-driven applications with standardized, plug-and-play tool integration.
## Format
- 6:30pm — Welcome & Networking: Pizza, drinks and name tags will be provided—come hungry and ready to connect!
- 7:00pm — Get people into the auditorium.
- 7:05pm — Orlando JUG and ODevs opening remarks.
- 7:10pm — GenAI apps with LangChain4j and MCP.
- 8:20pm — Q&A + Social Time. Two attendees will each win a JetBrains license (e.g. IntelliJ IDEA, CLion, PyCharm Pro, ReSharper, etc.) and 3 attendees will each win an O'Reilly book.
## Speaker
- Juarez Barbosa Junior is a Senior Principal Developer Evangelist and Director of Developer Evangelism at Oracle, with a long career spanning major technology companies including Microsoft, IBM, Nokia, Unisys, and Accenture. He has held senior leadership roles in software engineering and developer relations, working closely with developers, technical experts, customers, and business leaders. Juarez previously led Azure Developer Relations at Microsoft and has also served as a mentor for Microsoft for Startups, supporting founders, accelerators, and venture communities.
