What we’re about

This closed group called  "Ottawa-Photographer-Model-Meetup" aims to bring together small groups of photographers, typically in a studio, or a location setting, to learn and explore all aspects of people and model photography.   This group is a subset of another group  so members should FIRST be a paid up member of the main group called  "Ottawa Photography Meetup"  and be members in good standing.

This sub-group is focused with an emphasis on lighting and posing individuals. We generally hire models to help folks practice and build quality portfolio images.  Many of the sessions are themes like boudoir, glamour, cos-play, art-nudes, portraits and more. We aim to cover a range of interests all dealing with photography of male and female models (fitness, boudoir, pin-up, glamour, and art nudes; plus fashion and creative themes like cosplay).    Depending on the host, the light may be sophisticated studio lighting, natural light or a combination.

There will typically be a cost for these sessions as we aim to hire reliable models, and also need to cover studio fees and location costs. Some hosts may also include an honorarium.

This is a special interest group aimed at enhancing your photographic skills and portfolio. You must be accepted as a member and remain active.  We do not permit people to hang around just to view pretty pictures.

Some of the events will include nudes, erotica, and more NSFW images taken during the Meetups. They are shared here for purposes of learning and getting feedback, thus only members can participate and view content.

There is no extra fee to join this group, but as outlined, it is a special interest subset of a main group;  so members must FIRST be a paid up member of the main group called  "Ottawa Photography Meetup"  and be in good standing.

The payment does more than just support the costs and admin of the group, it also provides us with some tangible identity.   For safety reasons, we'd rather not have our models working with some anonymous member who's login name and photo can't be traced.

Many thanks for your understanding
