Outdoor Club of South Jersey -Bicycling

26 mile C paced bike ride beginning and ending at the club picnic area. The ride will be at a 12-to-15 mph rate. Please be sure that you can maintain that speed for the 26 mile distance. Please bring snacks, plenty of water, tire fixings, spare bike tubes that fit your bike tires and sunscreen. We will take water breaks about every 7-8 miles but there are no stores to buy water or snacks. There are probably no bathrooms or porta-potties along the route but there is a bathroom at the start and end of the ride. Sign in and waiver will be at the start for you to complete. ANNUAL OCSJ PICNIC AT PAKIM POND IN BRENDAY BYRNE STATE PARK

Please note, the hiking page is the only place to sign up for the picnic. Once you have signed up and secured your spot, you can sign up for a pre-picnic hike or bike ride. If you are not on the picnic, you cannot attend the picnic hikes or bike rides at Pakim Pond due to capacity constraints.
Come out and meet you leaders, board members and fellow club members. There are lots of activities planned for the day including hikes, bike rides, kayak demonstrations, music and a delicious picnic lunch provided by the OCSJ club.
This is a MEMBERS ONLY event. You must be a paid member to attend. The event is limited to 100 people due to pavilion and parking capacity. RSVPs are on the hiking page only. If the event reaches the RSVP limit, put yourself on the waiting list. Many people drop off due to various reasons and there is a good chance to secure a spot via the waiting list. Conversely, if you have already RSVP'd and cannot make it, please change your response to "not going" to allow for another member to enjoy the day.
Here is what you can expect:

• Several hikes at different miles that end in Pakim Pond before 12 noon.
• Several bike rides at different levels that end in Pakim Pond before 12 noon.
• Kayaks will be on hand for those who want to paddle the pond or try it (PFD's will be supplied).
• DJ music throughout the afternoon.
• Lunch will be served with a variety of sandwiches, salads and beverages.
• Please bring a dessert for the dessert buffet table and drop off at the pavilion.
• Bring your own chairs to the pavilion for seating.
• No alcohol is allowed in the park and OCSJ club rules prohibit it.
• There are no pets allowed at this event.
