Street Photography - Saturday morning: Comic-Con

Details
Note this is one of two Comic Con shoots on Saturday, during the Comic-Con event. This is the MORNING event. I am hosting another Comic-Con event during the evening hours on Saturday. The focus of both Saturday photo shoots is on street photography.
We’ll meet by the Gaslamp street sign in front of Lou and Mickey’s bar at 10:30am, and we'll take the group photo. Things are slow(er) in the morning, hence the 10:30am start time. We'll plan to walk around the Gaslamp to photograph the action outside Comic-Con. 5th Avenue, 6th Avenue, J and Island Avenue are the hotspots for street in the Gaslamp. Those who prefer, can also check out the areas around the Convention center, front and back, by the water.
Transportation: All parking options in the nearby area will be expensive and parking will be very hard to find. My suggestion is to use public transportation, have someone drop you off/pick you up, or if available to you, bike into town. Here's the official Comic Con transportation page.

Is street photography of children ever ok? (summary: while legal, it's complicated - please note we do not allow photos of children to be uploaded to meetup)
What to Bring:
Bring your favorite street photography gear and good walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, water, snacks, etc. A fixed 35 or 50mm lens or a medium zoom would work well.
