Composition Challenge: Simplicity

For this event we will be thinking about composition - specifically being deliberate in what we include in our frame. The challenge is to strip away all the clutter so every element in the photo has a purpose.

Once you choose the subject, you'll want to frame it so that the other elements do not obstruct or distract the eye. You may need to zoom with your feet or shoot from a different angle to get it right, or move along to another subject.

Let's meet at the fountain at 8:00 AM for a group shot and overview of what we're doing, then we'll move through Balboa Park in search of photo ops.

For lenses, you have options. Nearly everything 100mm and lower should work.
