Someone pushes back in a meeting and you get sharp. Or you say yes to something you should have declined, then lie awake annoyed with yourself. This evening is about finding that one reaction of yours.

Most of these reactions were learned early as a way to cope, and they kept running after we stopped needing them. Once you can see yours clearly, you get a little room to choose.

What you'll leave with
One reaction of your own, named in plain words, and one small thing to try the next time it shows up. That's a realistic goal for one evening. The real change happens in the weeks after, when you start catching it as it happens.

How the evening runs (7:00 to 8:30 pm, ends on time)
7:00 A short intro from me on where these patterns come from
7:10 A pen-and-paper exercise on your own
7:30 Sharing in the group for anyone who wants to. Listening is fine, and nobody gets put on the spot.
8:20 Each person picks one thing to try this week

Who comes
This is a small personal growth circle for people who are doing reasonably well and want to understand themselves better. You don't need to be going through a rough patch or have any background in this. Coming on your own is normal.

Good to know
The group is capped at 12 and what people share stays in the room. It isn't therapy, and I won't analyze anyone.

About me
I'm Steffen, a life coach in Palo Alto, trained with the Co-Active Training Institute. Before coaching I spent years as a hardware engineer at Lucid Motors and Stellantis. I'm also a dad of two, so I get plenty of practice with my own reactions.

Afterwards I'll email attendees the exercise along with an offer of a free 1:1 intro session. That's the only time coaching comes up.

Free. Please bring a pen. If your plans change, update your RSVP by Tuesday so someone on the waitlist gets your seat.
