About us

So you've named your cat "Q". The bumper sticker on your car reads "My other car is the Millenium Falcon". You start affecting a British accent after watching Doctor Who. You own dice that have more than six sides. You sometimes mutter spells under your breath and marvel that they don't work (if they do work... I wanna meet you). You secretly hope to be bitten by a radioactive spider or wish you could go on a quest for Shikon Jewel shards. And you might even have more toys now than you ever had as a child...

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

This group is designed to bring together "nerds" and "geeks"... those enthusiastic fans of science fiction, fantasy, anime, and comic books.

We'll get together a couple times a month, sometimes doing something related to our passions (a sci-fi movie, convention, show) or just get together to hang out and socialize (mini-golf, comedy show, dinner). Hopefully we'll make friends, have good times, discover the secrets of the universe (42) and take over the galaxy (well, only if it's for the greater good). Our meetup locations will vary... some will be in King of Prussis, others might be in various surrounding towns or even downtown Philly. At this time there are no plans to hold any meetups on any other planets or in any other dimensions... but that can change and we are open to suggestions.

Live Long and Prosper!

About Echoes: American Pink Floyd

Echoes, the American Pink Floyd, an absolute feast for the ears and the eyes.

There are more than a few Pink Floyd cover bands out there. What makes Echoes stand out is their stunning terrific stage show. Nearly every track is meticulously choreographed on a musical and technical level, whether it was the lights, the sound effects, or the action (see what I did there, Floyd fans?).

When you’re assessing a tribute band, it’s sometimes hard to truly gauge skill level outside of just affirming that they sound like the band they’re trying to emulate.

Echoes manages to capture the sound and vibe quite well. The Gilmour solos are faithfully rendered in both notation and tone, the synth patches are spot on.

A big part about what makes Echoes great are but the backup singers. Their harmonies make the stage sonically glow.

I’ve been listening to Pink Floyd for most of my life, and the music they play is all very familiar to me, but they successfully manage to bring that music to life.

As many fans say, “you can hit all the notes, but Pink Floyd is all about creating the vibe, and these guys create the vibe successfully.” They definitely researched their source material, borrowing from album versions, live performances, and movie adaptations to create a high quality, heartfelt tribute.

This group of people care about the music, and care to deliver it in a way that is as gripping and powerful as it should be. The light show was absolutely phenomenal, and worthy of a Pink Floyd endorsement!
