About us

This group is for events in ALBANY. NY now. This is an offshoot of the V4A NYC FREE SAILING SCJOOL. We are dedicated to getting people of all backgrounds into sailing through education and outreach. We are completely inclusive. All are welcome. This is a safe space for anyone feeling marginalized or left out in any way. This free school and club is for adults that are 18 and older only. .

This group used to operate in New York City, doing luxury and extreme sailing events every weekend for one summer. This group actually broke a world record sailing to the Bahamas from Florida single-handed on a Wave sailboat. We have many many many accomplishments in our past events please feel free to scroll them. Since that epic Sommer, we expanded the club to Florida. And now we are expanding the club to Albany. This is now the Albany Meetup. Sorry if any of you New Yorkers cannot come up to our events because it’s too far but I guarantee that it’s worth it. We can provide you with a free place to camp out for the weekend and a ride to the Albany bus station and access to our boats and free instruction all weekend!
