Hen Cloud, The Roaches and Lud's Church Walk from Upper Hulme

This route starts in Upper Hulme in the laybys on Roach Road and first takes you on a steep climb up to Hen Cloud, with views of the Tittesworth Reservoir to the west.
From here you head down towards the Roaches and make your way along the tops until you drop down and walk through some woods before reaching Lud’s Church. Here it is likely to be muddy. Boots are highly recommended!
We will then loop back and take a path parallel to the Roaches, but lower-level, until you reach Ramshaw Rocks then it’s back to the start at Upper Hulme.
There should be some lovely views from Hen Cloud and The Roaches.
Do bring plenty of snacks and drinks and a lunch pack-up as unlikely we shall find somewhere for these on our route. Depending on what time you arrive or we finish, you might get a lovely snack at the Roaches Tea Rooms down the road: http://www.roachestearooms.co.uk/lunch_menu.html.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but some might struggle on the rocks and all dogs must be put on a lead near to livestock and should not bark or jump up incessantly.
