Walk and scramble: Dove Stone, Birchen Clough, The Trinnacles, Alphin Pike trig

Details
A lovely 12-mile walk in the Northern Peak District. This Dovestone Reservoir walk starts alongside the reservoir but also explores the edges above it, with amazing views! You will need boots - it will be very wet around the bottom of Birchen Clough in particular. In very heavy rain, we will not be able to complete the scramble but will walk around.
The walk includes a fun scramble up the side of Birchen Clough + waterfall, with views of Saddleworth Moor from the Trinnacles, part of the Raven Stones, which makes for a great photo.
The walk continues along the edge, past Ashway Rocks, Great Dove Stone Rocks and all the way to Chew Reservoir. From here you then follow the edge along to Alphin Pike before descending down to Dovestone Reservoir, then back to the car park near Greenfield.
Please take LOTS of pictures and upload them to this Meetup page so everyone can see how much fun you had.
Dogs will find the scramble section particularly challenging but there is an option to walk around.
Lift sharing is strongly encouraged, just leave a message below if offering or asking for a lift.
We do not wait for latecomers!
Meet: 09:15am for prompt 09:30am start at Binn Green car park.
