Boxing Day Stroll
Details
After eating too much over Christmas this walk is guaranteed to liven you up and it will be fun. . The walk starts at Langsett barn car park see google link below- where we will all meet up from 9.15 ready to depart at 9.30. I am afraid we do not wait for anyone who is late. I will be easy to spot as I will have a young yellow Labrador with me wearing his red sparkly Christmas bandana. The walk is just over 9 miles which we will take at a leisurely pace to suit all. From the car park we will walk along the reservoir stopping to see any birds that are around before heading up towards Margery hill for some great views. We then walk along outer edge for a while before descending back to the car park.
We will have lunch on the hill so bring food, drinks and any spare chocolates to eat on the hill plus extra warm clothing to put on during breaks. You will need to wear a warm coat, hat and gloves as it is likely to be nippy up on the tops. If snow and ice on the hills you will need to bring spikes to be able to do this walk safely. I will get in touch with everyone with details of weather forecast the day before the walk.
Well behaved dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead around livestock.
Any queries let me know
