Philly Freeriders - Rocky Mountain Chapter

Welcome to the Philly Freeriders - Rocky Mountain Chapter!

What started as a Philly-based social snowboarding and skiing club is now branching out to the Rockies. We primarily organize several domestic and international ski/snowboard trips every winter/early spring, and get together locally for monthly social events. Our members are younger in body AND mind, mostly in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. While the club is based in Philly, you don't need to have any Philly connections to join us in any capacity. Our experience levels vary from non-skiing partiers to bunny slope baddies up to backcountry ski mountaineers, expert park rats, and even former Olympian racers. Regardless of your skill level, you are bound to find somebody you can hang with on a group trip.

We are a non traditional ski club that operates without elected positions, affiliations, membership dues, and itinerary-based trips. We offer excellent prices on lodging for our trips, as well as reduced prices when purchasing Ikon or Epic passes through our purchase portal, in addition to kickbacks (PFR members received a 50$ discount on passes and $100 - $200 in kickbacks on 2026's trips).
Upcoming trips are listed on our main group's meetup page and on our facebook page (the facebook page is much more active with various chats for different trips, activities, gear, etc). If you have any questions about trips, send a message to the trip host, or feel free to just message me with any questions (Michael Isaacman). Most overnight trips require payment to be put on the 'going' list. Trips sell out fast so make sure to get your payment in as soon as you are sure you can commit.
