Denver Philosophy Club's Monthly Symposium

Details
Come, celebrate life and wisdom with me, Dan, your host for Denver Philosophy Meetup @ Piccolo's.
3563 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, CO.
Ask for the Denver Philosophy Club, and you'll be directed to our table.
Our Format: Everyone attending will introduce themselves and with brevity in mind, you can ask a philosophical question, or suggest a philosophical topic. Topics are suggested, refined by those attending. By pure democracy we vote for the best topics and break into smaller groups to discuss them. When we break up into smaller groups, we'll be lead or introduced by the host or original questioner to the philosophical topic. After that the discussion should freely flow.
Attendance & RSVP: Our Symposium is restaurant dining. I need an accurate RSVP. I usually try to reserve 1-4 extras spots. I will call in our reservation @2:30 pm the day of.
Guidelines & Boundaries for our Discussions: We tackle philosophy casually and informally. There's no compulsion to stay so if the occasion calls for it, you can join another discussion, freely. As well, some of us have come to do a little speaking and while others have joined in to purely listen. And of course some come to argue. All ends of the spectrum are welcome. As well, I don't mind if you're late, or early. If early you'll be there for a bit of the pre-discussion. If you're late, you'll be there when current affairs and politics discussion. There are but three boundaries we observe in philosophical discourse. No Politics, No Damning up the Flow, & No Violence. First, we refrain from discussing politics until the formal meeting for which I will formally call it and add any news might worth be sharing. Second, Philosophy involved in a dialogical process. We can wind up in weird places. This is welcome. So from time to time I'll redress the original question, or one relating to the topic to bring us back into the ballpark, discussion wise. But this is a safe space to explore these diatribes. Third, no throwing of chairs. Angered outburst. Ad Homonym Abusive, Ad Hitlerum (etc.).
Our Usual Topics:
What is Philosophy?
What is Beauty?
What is Art?
What is Justice?
Is reality real?
What is existence?
What is the meaning of life?
What is doubtable and what is certain?
How do I know what I know? How do I know that I know?
Is there a God? Is it Provable?
The existence of evil?— Is evil intelligible or 'unintelligible'?
If evil is in the world, then does God permit it?
Is God responsible for Evil?
Is existence just made up of stuff? Or is there more out there than mere 'stuff'?
Can we ever 'really' know for sure that we are not, indeed, in the Matrix?
Is punishment morally justified?
Great. See you at the Symposium.
