About us
The observation and study of the universe has been occurring since the beginning of human existence. Recent advances in technology has allowed for human and robotic planetary exploration. Plans are in process for planetary colonization.
Are we the first galactic life-form to explore our solar system? Monthly speakers will present the results and conclusions of their ongoing research into one of the many topic areas related to this subject.
Phoenix MUFON does:
• charge a $20.00, US Dollar, per meeting, per person, cash only fee to attend.
• the event fee is paid at the event.
• have a group dinner after the meeting (each individual pays for their meal).
• have a sky watch, after dinner, during the fall and spring.
• have a camp out and sky watch in the fall.
The Steele Auditorium seats 272 life-forms. Phoenix MUFON, generally, has over 150 life-forms at the meeting. Bring or invite additional open-minded and like-minded life-forms. There is no need to notify us of those life-forms.

Dr. Joe Lewels

Francisco J (Joe) Lewels is the author of The God Hypothesis: Extraterrestrial Life and Its Implications for Science and Religion, 1996; Rulers Of The Earth: Secrets Of The Sons Of God, 2007; The Soul Trap: Aliens, Ancient Scrolls and Reincarnation, 2025.
Lewels served as a Captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers and as a reconnaissance pilot in the Republic of South Vietnam in 1967-1968. He was awarded the bronze star and the air medal with oak-leaf clusters for his service in combat.
He was a tenured associate professor and Chairman of the Departments of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Texas at El Paso from 1972-1982. He served as a consultant on minorities and the media at the US Department of Justice and at the Federal Communications Commission in 1972-1973.
From 1982-2013 he was a Vice President and a Senior International Financial Advisor at Merrill-Lynch. He edited the Freedom Of Information Digest at the University of Missouri and was a writer and editor at the US Army Aviation Digest at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.
From 1993 untl 2000, Lewels served as Assistant State Director for West Texas and Southern New Mexico for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). He regularly contributed to the MUFON Journal and spoke at many MUFON conferences and numerous international conferences in the United States and abroad.He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Missouri, an M.S. in Education from Troy State University, and a B.A. in Journalism from Texas Western College. He was certified as a hypnotherapist by the American Board of Hypnotherapy in 1995.
Dr. Lewels will be speaking to Phoenix MUFON regarding his latest book, The Soul Trap.
