Rick Sammon's Creative Visualization for Photographers is one of the best books I've seen on the subject of composition and it's our textbook for this three part workshop. It covers in-depth the things you learned in our Make Great Photos class, and we will work through the chapters with our cameras. This is an out-door, in-door class with a lot of roaming around St. Louis - parks, public buildings, and maybe a bit of urbex. You will be challenged and grow in this series of workshops, each complete with an end-of-day critique.
We'll start with an overview of the chapters we're working on and then go out to apply what we've learned. We'll break for an hour to grab some lunch somewhere before going back out to get more images and return to the St. Louis Photo Authority® studio for our critique.
We will be shooting jpeg files and will be limited to shooting 100 total images during the day. No erasures will be allowed. The images must be sequentially numbered; this is, after all, a visualization exercise, so contemplation of the viewfinder's contents is encouraged.
This group is limited for the benefit of the participants to 10 people, so sign up now!
