**The NOAA-WU-NWS folks were right-on with their prediction of triple digit Tri-Valley temps on the 21st. The shorter (under 15 miles) 'Happy Valley' ride that ended at Meadowlark Dairy brought smiles. On the Laguna Creek Trail Pedalers were treated to a large "kettle" of turkey vultures riding the thermals and another group (or "committee") enjoying(?) the morning sun in the the oak trees. There is always a surprise and a treat found on a morning Pedaler ride!

****Wednesday update @ 4:00 pm: Good News! NWS/WU/NOAA indicate temps in the upper 70s--low 80s by the time we finish the ride!

Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open - bathrooms & water available.

Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tube. No SAG cars provided.

**FLASH---FLASH---**FLASH--FLASH---> more than 1100 acres have just been placed in a PERMANENT conservation easement in Doolan Canyon! With additional work from the many volunteers, the protected land should make it more difficult for the Dublin effort to expand/extend Dublin Blvd to Doolan Canyon.
