About us
Postgres, in person, in Adelaide.
We meet for real talks from people who run Postgres for a living - internals, performance, war stories, and the occasional thing that broke at 3am. Talks are technical and vendor-neutral: no product pitches, no sales decks.
Come if you're a DBA, developer, data engineer, or just Postgres-curious. Beginners are genuinely welcome — several of our regulars came to their first meetup knowing very little, and asking the obvious question is usually how everyone else learns something too.
What to expect: one or two talks, food and drinks, and time to actually talk to people afterwards. Free, always.
We work closely with PostgreSQL Down Under (PGDU), the national Postgres community, and we've been hosted at Blue Crystal Solutions for all our previous Meetups. Occasionally we'll share an event from the venue sponsors who host us - clearly labelled, always optional.
Next in-person meetup: November. Virtual sessions in the meantime - join the group to get them.
Interested in speaking about Postgres? Message the organisers. First-time speakers especially welcome - we'll help you shape the talk.
