Presto Meetup

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to build and run Presto from source and explore the architecture behind one of the most widely used distributed SQL query engines.

The speaker will guide participants step-by-step through the process of setting up the development environment, compiling Presto from source, and running a working Presto cluster locally.

The speaker will also cover the steps involved in building the Presto C++ worker to help participants understand how the different components fit together and how the C++ worker integrates with the Java coordinator in a hybrid Presto deployment.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a clear understanding of how Presto is built, how its components interact, and how to get a full development setup running from source.

Prerequisites:

Participants are encouraged to follow along during the session to build and run Presto from source on their own machines.
