What we’re about
Presto is a distributed SQL engine for processing very large data sets stored across potentially different storage systems. Our goal is to come together as a community to connect with each other, share experiences and learnings, and discuss the various challenges we have to address our different use cases.
The Presto project is governed by the Presto Foundation, under the Linux Foundation.

Our Presto virtual meetup series is back! Join us On August 14 for a session on Presto C++ metrics.
Introducing Presto C++ Runtime Metrics with Prometheus
Speakers: Deepak Majeti, Software Engineer at IBM
Karteek Murthy, Software Engineer at IBMRecently we’ve added support in Presto C++ for Prometheus Reporter using the prometheus-cpp library. This allows for capture of Presto C++ runtime metrics and exposes them to a Prometheus Time series database. In this session Deepak and Karteek will share more context and dive into the architectural and implementation details of this.
See the Presto RFC for Prometheus for more details: https://github.com/prestodb/rfcs/blob/main/RFC-0002-prestissimo-metrics.md
The Zoom link will be visible once you RSVP.
