PM Best Practices with Steven Lurie (Founder of Team Builder Ventures)

Join us on August 13th at 6.30pm to host Steven Lurie (founder Team Builder Ventures / former Zynga) give a talk and Q & A on Product Management Best Practices from working closely with Mark Pincus at Zynga. If we have enough time we will also explore the topic of Building Great Teams which is his expertise and the foundation for his latest venture.

Following Steven's talk we will have a mini-mixer with some refreshments and networking.

Steven Lurie is the founder of Team Builder Ventures, a venture capital fund to help founders build world-class teams.

Previously, Steven was a member of Zynga’s Executive Staff for over 4 years. At Zynga, he headed the International group after building a team in India to manage several games. Steven was the head of Zynga’s Mobile group before moving to India.

Previously, Steven was CEO of Advice Company, one of the Web’s leading legal advice sites. Start-up experience includes Ingenio, where Steven was part of the original management team in 1999. Backed by Benchmark Capital, Ingenio pioneered the pay-per-call advertising model and was acquired by AT&T in 2007. Prior to Ingenio, Steven held a variety of management roles at Microsoft.

Steven organizes the annual Run for Teachers event in honor of his late sister and to benefit schoolchildren in India ( http://www.runforteachers.org ). He also co-founded the Full Circle Fund, an engaged philanthropy group helping social entrepreneurs ( http://www.fullcirclefund.org ).

Steven has a B.A. with Distinction and Departmental Honors from Stanford University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
