Bugonia and Tavern in the Square

RIP Providence Showcase. Who would have thought the After the Hunt event would be our last event there (until Apple Cinemas takes over). In the meantime, we're going to have to leave Providence and venture out for new releases. I know, I know it's Providence Movie Club. Don't @ me. Anyway, on to business! We're going to Showcase Cinemas WARWICK to see the new Yorgos Lanthimos film, Bugonia!

In Bugonia, two conspiracy-obsessed friends kidnap the CEO of a powerful pharmaceutical company, convinced she is an alien plotting Earth’s destruction. As paranoia mounts, their clash spirals into a dangerous game where reality, ideology, and control violently collide.

Join us on Sunday, November 2nd for the 6:40pm showing of Bugonia at Showcase Cinemas Warwick. Afterwards, for anyone interested, we'll go to Tavern in the Square for post-movie food and drinks.

A few notes about Showcase Warwick. Because it's one of those theaters with recliners, there are far fewer seats in the theater than Providence. If you're a solid yes, I'd recommend buying a ticket ahead of time. You can always get a lay of the land by checking the theater map on Fandango. On the plus side, you won't have to deal with a parking garage and fees! Warwick has a big lot to park in.

We'll meet in the table area right next to the bar at 6:20pm. We'll head into the theater when it starts at 6:40pm and meet outside the door when it's over to reconnect. Feel free to sit wherever you want inside the theater.
