Group Discussion: The limits of psychedelics

Details

Psychedelics are powerful tools that can offer incredible, life changing experiences to everyone and anyone who takes them. Like many powerful tools, psychedelics demand respect and discipline to get the most out of - if used incorrectly, they can cause serious harm or injury and in rare cases, even death. As psychedelics become more popular than ever before, I think it's important to be aware of the limits associated with psychedelics to educate ourselves on proper harm reduction techniques when experimenting with these amazing molecules.

Psychedelics can be extremely effective tools for treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, cluster headaches, and much more. They can also offer the psychonaut a chance to better understand themselves at a deeper level and feel more connected with others. A psychedelic experience can be an intense ordeal and it's important to pay attention to things like preparation, set and setting, and integrating the experience to get the most out of it. Without these, the experience could have damaging effects that can easily be avoided with the proper knowledge and preparation.

It's clear that laws like prohibition don't work in our society, but should these powerful tools be available to everyone? Is there an age limit where it's appropriate to start experimenting with psychedelics? What sort of certifications should be required to offer healing services with psychedelics? These are just some of the questions we will be discussing at this month's meeting. I've decided to take advantage of the nice weather and have this months meeting outside. We will be sitting on the grass so feel free to bring a blanket or a chair. If you're available Saturday, come by the park and join us in discussing the limits of psychedelics. I hope to see you there!

DISCLAIMER: This will not be an illegal meetup to buy and sell illegal drugs. Safety and privacy are extremely important to each researcher.
