What we’re about
This is a meetup group designed for current and aspiring Psychedelic Assisted Therapists and/or psychedelic facilitators/guides.
The psychedelic medicines that are legal in Colorado (namely THC, Psilocybin, DMT, Iboga, Mescaline, and Ketamine) represent a profound opportunity for expanding accessibility of mental health practices for the population of Colorado. However, the training required to optimize the impact of these medicines (and minimize risks) can be prohibitively expensive and inaccessible for some.
The Psychedelic Practitioners Cohort was developed to expand the accessibility and affordability of training for Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Psychedelic Facilitation. The Cohort is peer-led, meaning every member of the cohort can propose and host an event or training (organizer screening required) and our longer retreats generally include space for each participant to present.
Meetups will be a mix of virtual and in-person and will not only focus on psychedelics, but also on trauma-informed therapy, harm reduction, equity of access and other important aspects of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and/or facilitating psychedelic experiences.

### Event Description:
The Colorado Psychedelic Practitioners Cohort (CPPC) is hosting a Peer-Led Pharmahuasca Retreat near Salida, CO, and we’d love to invite you to join us.
This 3-night gathering is designed for those ready to go deep in a grounded, peer-supported space — held by members of the CPPC who have been practicing with pharmahuasca for years. Join for a single night, or for all 3 nights.
As part of this event, we'll be celebrating CPPC Co-Founder Tony Shawcross' 50th Birthday.
This event will be more casual than our recent Peer-Led Pharmahuasca Retreats. Because there are multiple spaces, peer led groups will be welcome to use other substances (in-keeping with CO State Law), but the CPPC will facilitate oral and buccal pharmahuasca protocols that allow us to more precisely dose DMT & MAOIs, following the latest research. The weekend includes two nights of ceremony, integration support, and time in the most idyllic natural spots in Colorado, including a final overnight journey at a private hot springs on Sunday, June 15th.
***
### What to Expect:
- Friday evening: Pharmahuasca ceremony at a private riverside lodge
- Saturday afternoon: Second ceremony using an alternative Pharmahusaca ROA
- Sunday: Optional Hot Springs Overnight
- Monday: Closing integration circle
- Shared meals (potluck-style), group integration, and peer support throughout
This is a peer-led event — not a commercial retreat or facilitator-led ceremony. Several participants will be alumni of our 5-month DMT Certification Program and there will be training for aspiring facilitators in addition to ceremonies. All activities are conducted in alignment with Colorado’s personal use laws.

- $500 for a single evening ceremony
